The bright warm sun out
throwing shadows here and there
Kissing the dead and dying leaves of the trees
sending them down into their somber sleep
Morning dew crusts the blades of grass like diamonds
While birds chirp and take their drink from puddles
swooping and dancing around in the sky
feeling the crisp cold air threatening their fun.
